Description
Due to complicated exports, micro, small, and medium agro-producers (MSMEs) in Ukraine need additional elevator capacities for drying and storing grain.
The USAID AGRO Activity will provide up to 270 million UAH co-financing to Ukrainian enterprises that provide grain and technical crop drying, storage, and processing services. The program includes 10-15 co-financing projects, with budgets ranging from 18 to 36 million UAH each.
Projects will increase the volume and duration of grain and technical crop storage, enhancing business resilience and improving food security in Ukraine.
The USAID AGRO Activity encourages applications from Ukrainian companies and enterprises that provide agricultural product processing and storage services, have elevator capacities, and have developed or started developing project documentation.
Expected results within a single project:
- At least 70 additional MSMEs will receive processing, drying, and/or storage services.
- The provision of storage services for MSMEs will increase by at least 20,000 tons per year, and drying services by at least 50,000 tons per year.
- At least 50% of the total number of processing, drying, and/or storage services will be provided to MSMEs that manage (rent) land plots of less than 500 hectares.
Additional benefits will include:
- Increasing the elevator capacities of processing enterprises.
- Focusing the project on implementing energy-efficient technologies.
